Doulaography

I'm an experienced birth doula in London. Passionate about physiological and undisturbed birth, I know that birth isn’t always straightforward, and navigating the maternity system is complex and nuanced. I’m here to walk that path with you, combining evidence and intuition, and creating clarity and space around all the choices and challenges you may face. I offer non-judgmental support for your decisions. With me, you will feel truly seen, heard, and acknowledged. I’ll encourage you to trust your innate wisdom and your own judgment every step of the way, with the aim that you ultimately feel at peace with your entire experience.
My goal? To help you step into motherhood with authority and authenticity, finding your own feet rather than following prescriptive formulas. Birth is about your journey, and I’ll be there to uphold you as the protagonist of your own story.

When people ask what I do as a doula, I say I’m multifunctional: I offer emotional, practical, informational, and holistic support before, during, and after the birth. I’ve got a whole toolbox ready, but my real superpower? Listening.

Before birth: I'll help you plan and understand how to optimize your birth experience,  navigate obstacles, and provide the latest evidence so you can make informed choices. I will also hold space for your fears and connect with your partner if you have one, sharing practical tools so they can support you during labour.

During birth: I’m a steady, energetic, gentle, calm and continuous presence. I'll liaise with care providers and hospitals in a very diplomatic way. I'll uphold your wishes, help you navigate bumps during the labour, and provide confidence, reassurance, and physical support when you need it. Most importantly, I will never, ever, give up on you!

After birth: I'll offer guidance, reflection, and practical support, from postnatal body treatments and perineal herbs to advice for continuing your journey as a mother.

All of this is delivered with care, warmth, attention, respect and compassion, ensuring you feel fully supported throughout your birth journey.

A little about my background

I left med school in my 5th year after realizing we are putting our power too much outside of ourselves. After coming across new and alternative paradigms in health and medicine, I realized our medical model is very much based on fear and the medicalization of life and this doesn’t make much sense to me. This is not to dismiss the current medical system at all. I think there is a place for everything in this world. However, I do think the balance has been quite off, to the detriment and disempowerment of the individual.

A few more bits about me:

I am a natural 'space holder' and a deep listener. I also sing and like to do vocal improvisation. As your doula, if you are interested, I can help you create a lullaby or song for your baby in the belly. It has been shown that babies recognize their mum’s voice and songs and they are reminded of those times inside the womb when mum would sing to them, which could be very handy to reassure, calm and comfort the newborn.

I am also a German New Medicine (GNM) practitioner. The GNM is a natural science that understands symptoms through completely new lenses and helps us free from the fear of disease. A radical new mind-body paradigm in medicine that demonstrates how our bodies are wise and adapt with purpose and meaning, instead of failing and needing to be repaired as if they were machines. It is said to be the medicine of the future!

I've always been drawn to life mysteries, particularly birth and death and I've always wanted to understand the meaning of existence. This has led me on to the Buddhist path. I am also practicing Qi Gong/Nei Gong and I have been on a journey of re-embodiment and authenticity.
