Origin Within offers private birth and postnatal doula support for women and families moving through pregnancy, birth and the early weeks with a baby.

I’m Elizabeth, founder of Origin Within. My work brings together refined doula care and perinatal therapeutic awareness, offering support that can meet both the practical and emotional layers of this transition.

This may include birth preparation, continuous support during labour, support for your partner, postnatal care at home, overnight support, and space to process or make sense of what is unfolding.

For some clients, this means preparing for birth with more steadiness and confidence. For others, it may mean support with anxiety, previous birth experiences, fear, overwhelm, or the emotional complexity of becoming a parent.

My approach is warm, grounded and relational. I support clients who want to feel informed, steady and respected within the experience — not managed, rushed or left to carry everything alone.

For those wanting a more continuous experience of care, support can also be shaped across pregnancy, birth and the early postnatal weeks.

If you are looking for doula support that feels personal, thoughtful and emotionally attuned, you are welcome to get in touch and explore what may feel right for you.

She has a very comforting way of being present without ever making you feel pressured or judged.

We were recommended Elizabeth by a friend, and looking back, we feel so grateful that we had her support during the birth of our first baby in summer 2024.

As first-time parents, everything felt very new to us. I had a C-section in hospital, and although it was a medical environment, Elizabeth brought such a calm, warm and reassuring presence to the whole experience. She supported me emotionally and practically, helped me feel more grounded, and made the hospital birth feel less overwhelming.

She was also a wonderful support to my husband. Her presence made us both feel more confident and less alone during such a big life moment.

After our baby arrived, Elizabeth continued to be gentle, attentive and caring. She supported us as a new family, gave helpful guidance, and made those first moments feel calmer and more manageable. She has a very comforting way of being present without ever making you feel pressured or judged.

We are so happy we chose Elizabeth as our doula. She was kind, reliable, knowledgeable and genuinely caring. We would warmly recommend her to any family looking for support through pregnancy, birth and the early newborn stage.

She fills whatever gap is needed for a new mom - and it can vary a lot person to person.

Elizabeth was such a huge and impactful part of my postpartum experience. Every day she was with us she brought kindness, understanding, mentorship, and so much care and love for me and my baby. She fills whatever gap is needed for a new mom – and it can vary a lot person to person. She really looks at the situation and person, and adapts her care accordingly. I could go on and on, but Elizabeth is truly one of a kind, so smart and caring, and really made becoming a new mom a smooth experience (as smooth as it can go!) and truly took care of us.

Elizabeth was an absolute Godsend to us both.

Elizabeth was an absolute Godsend to us both. An amazing doula and support through what I now know was actually quite a difficult pregnancy- I didn’t necessarily realise it at the time as she was such an incredible support to both my partner and I. We had the full package of sessions before to go through the labour and birth process, as well as in hospital support for my son’s delivery and postpartum. I honestly felt so empowered during my delivery and I think Elizabeth was a key part of that- both in the preparation and in the room. I would 100% recommend her services (and have already to friends!)
