I believe that everyone deserves to birth their baby in the way that feels right for them — in a setting where they feel safe, supported and respected and in a timeframe that is uniquely their own.

As your doula, I will walk alongside you with compassionate, personalised support throughout pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period. My role is to nurture you and your family so that you feel informed, confident and cared for as you navigate the transformative journey into parenthood. My approach is calm, reassuring and intuitive, always centred around your needs, your choices and your intuition.

My own experiences of birth have been varied, each one teaching me something new about the power and vulnerability of birth. My first birth at 18 was highly medicalised, and although the staff were kind, I felt detached from the process. Later births brought new challenges and insights and I came to understand how vital it is to feel informed, supported and heard in your choices.

I was fortunate to be cared for by some truly wonderful women along the way — women who offered continuity, kindness and gentle encouragement when I needed it most. Their quiet strength and belief in me shaped my own approach to supporting others and they remain a huge inspiration for my work today.

At 43, I became a grandmother — or “Kitty,” as my grandchildren call me — and I’ve been privileged to be present at all three of my daughter Sophie’s births. Watching her birth with such calm and confidence was a revelation. She showed me how serene and empowering birth can be when a woman feels completely safe and supported.

These experiences have shaped me into the doula I am today — calm, empathetic, grounded and endlessly respectful of each family’s unique story. I believe birth and early parenthood are deeply personal and transformative experiences, and my role is to hold space for you with compassion, trust and warmth.

Originally from Liverpool, I now live in Petworth, West Sussex with my partner and our mischievous miniature dachshund, Dolly. My background is in education leadership, where I developed a deep appreciation for calm communication, empathy and care — all of which underpin my work as a doula.

It would be an honour to walk beside you as you prepare to welcome your baby, holding space for your hopes, emotions and journey into parenthood with gentleness, respect and unwavering support.
