Doulaography
Hi, I’m Larri, a trained doula offering wholehearted, personalised support through pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal period.
People often tell me that I bring a sense of calm into a space. That I’m steady, perceptive, and quietly reassuring. Birth isn’t the time for filling silences or navigating awkward conversations, and my strength lies in being able to read the room, understand what’s needed, and respond without you having to explain yourself.
I’m comfortable working within the maternity system, asking clear and sometimes difficult questions, and supporting you to feel confident and informed while multiple priorities are in play.
I understand how easy it is to feel processed or overlooked within large systems, and how important it is to feel like a person rather than a case. When I became a parent myself, I recognised how those experiences can follow us into pregnancy and birth. I wanted to feel prepared, to understand my options, and to protect my space during a time that is both deeply personal and life-changing.
I work across all types of births and circumstances, including homebirths, planned and unplanned caesareans, inductions, and more complex pregnancies. My support is impartial, evidence-informed, and grounded in real-world experience. I’m not attached to a particular outcome or approach. My focus is on helping you feel supported, respected, and able to navigate your birth in a way that feels right for you.

"Larri also built a great rapport with the midwives, who even commented afterwards on her professionalism. She’s pragmatic, emotionally intelligent, and genuinely invested in making sure women feel safe, informed and in control. We were so lucky to have Larri as our Doula. She is someone who researches information so when someone says, oh doing this doubles the mortality rate, she will fact check and make sure you’re informed that it’s really going from 0.5% to 1% and you can make your decision based on data, rather than a scare tactic of doubling your risk. Aside from that, she’s very familiar with hospital policies so she effectively guide us through how best to navigate the hospital policies to advocate for our rights. And finally, she went above and beyond when it came to answering our questions, she never made us feel rushed, and stayed with us even when we had to make difficult decisions about our birthing experiences. I am ever so grateful to her.
Larri is a wonderfully caring and knowledgeable doula. She connected straight away with my little one and brought a sense of calm to the whole house. I would highly recommend her and look forward to working with her again x
When my wife first suggested we consider having a doula for the birth of our second child, I’ll admit that I thought a doula was a musical instrument. I had no idea what a doula actually did, but i can honestly say it was one of the best decisions we made and it had a hugely positive impact on our birth experience.
I felt supported and empowered by Larri. Thanks to the prenatal sessions we had with her, I went into the birth feeling confident and prepared. Her explanations were clear, I felt that I understood what to expect and how I could help.
On the day, she read the room perfectly, offering support when needed, stepping back when appropriate, and building a fantastic working relationship with the midwives. She never took over, but her presence gave us the confidence and reassurance to keep going.
Importantly, it meant I felt like part of the team, not just an awkward bystander!
Larri’s intuition and calm approach helped us both feel safe and supported during a life changing experience. I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for a doula who empowers both the birthing person and their partner.
