Doulaography
Hello, I’m Lisa — congratulations on your pregnancy.
I’m a birth and postnatal doula based in Wimbledon, supporting families across South West and Central London. I live with my husband, our three children, and a very small Maltese dog.
I’ve been working and volunteering in the birth world since 2014, and becoming a doula is where I have found my home.
My approach
My role is simple, but powerful: to support you in having a birth and early parenting experience that feels right for you.
That means helping you:
Because in my experience — and supported by research — how you feel about your birth matters just as much (if not more) than the specific outcome.
What I bring
A balance of instinct and evidence
I take a holistic view of pregnancy and birth, while also being very comfortable with research and the realities of the NHS system. My background as an NHS Occupational Therapist means I can help you understand how the system works, and support you to navigate it confidently.
Support for physiological birth (where desired)
If you’re hoping for a spontaneous, physiological birth, I offer clear, practical preparation to give you the best chance of achieving this — something that often requires more intention than people expect.
Truly personalised support
No two families are the same. I don’t come with an agenda — I work with you to understand what matters most to you, and support you in achieving that.
Strong postnatal care
The early days matter. I include postnatal visits as standard, along with ongoing support via WhatsApp or phone — especially helpful when establishing feeding or adjusting to life with a newborn.
Working together
From the moment you book, you’ll have access to ongoing support via WhatsApp, phone or email — as much or as little as you need.
I offer two antenatal sessions in your home, where we:
I’m on call 24/7 around your due date and will join you in labour when you need me. During labour, I provide a combination of emotional, physical and informational support — always led by what feels right for you in the moment.
After your baby is born, I stay with you until you’re ready for quiet family time, and support you with early feeding if needed. I then visit you at home twice postnatally, with the option of additional support if you’d like it.
I also provide practical tools such as a TENS machine and birth comb, and can supply a birth pool for home births.
A bit more about me

Final thoughts
As your doula, I work for you.
I’m not part of the system, and I’m not bringing personal opinions or expectations. My role is to help you understand your options, feel confident in your decisions, and support you fully — whatever path your birth takes.
Kind words from families
"Lisa was an indispensable part of our team. She helped us advocate for what we needed and supported both of us through every step. We’ll always remember the role she played in our son’s birth."
"Having Lisa by our side was a game changer. We felt listened to, supported and confident navigating the NHS. We recommend her to everyone."
"Calm, intuitive and incredibly supportive. Lisa knew exactly when to step in and when to give space — we felt completely held throughout."
If you’d like to explore working together, I’d love to hear from you.
