Hi. My name is Lisa Jones. Thank you for looking at my profile!
I live in Alsager (ST7) with my husband, two children and woody the cat. As a dedicated and compassionate birth and postnatal doula, my mission is to support parents to understand their options and gain confidence in birthing and caring for your newborn. I feel privileged to support families, ensuring that each one feels empowered, informed, and deeply cared for during this life-changing experience.
Every birth is unique and personally I have experienced two different sides of the birthing experience: I had an unplanned c-section with my first and then a planned home birth with my second. I also breastfed for around 8 years continuously between my two children thorough a lot of challenges and then I struggled with a difficult postnatal period after my second was born. My births and parenting journey ignited a passion in me to become more informed around birth and early parent hood. I went on to train in breastfeeding support before being called to support women through pregnancy and beyond to help them achieve a positive birthing and postnatal period. So I went on to train as a Doula with the amazing Nurturing Birth. I take each person as an individual and will always put your needs first to help you during this transformative journey whilst being non-judgemental and open minded.
How can I support you?
During Pregnancy:
I will work closely with you to help prepare for your birth, offering personalised guidance, resources, and emotional support. We will explore your birth preferences, practice comfort techniques, and discuss any concerns you might have, ensuring that you feel ready and empowered as your due date approaches.
During Labour and Birth:
My role is to be there for you every step of the way, providing calming reassurance and practical support. I offer comfort measures such as breathing techniques, massage, and positioning suggestions, and I help maintain a peaceful environment that aligns with your birth preferences. Whether you’re planning a home birth, hospital birth, or anything in between, I’m here to support your choices and ensure that you feel heard and respected.
Postnatal Support:
After the birth, I provide ongoing support as you transition into life with your new baby. This includes helping with breastfeeding, offering guidance on newborn care, and being a listening ear as you navigate the emotional and physical changes of postpartum life. My goal is to help you feel confident and supported as you settle into your new role as a parent. I can also offer overnight support.
Choosing to work with a doula is an investment in a positive, empowering birth and postnatal experience. I would be honoured to support you during this incredible time in your life.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and do not hesitate to email me for further information. Website incoming soon.
Thank you

Lisa has been invaluable help when my second daughter was born and ever since. After having had my first daughter born vaginally having an emergency C-section was something we weren’t prepared for with having no family around us. Lisa was immediately very friendly, supportive and helpful, like a lovely aunty just coming to help but with lots of experience and knowledge in postnatal care. Lisa always knows where help is most needed (whether it’s just making a drink, holding the baby or bringing her for a walk, shopping, sorting the mountains of washing or cooking dinner), and just uses her initiative to make a difference. This is something I really appreciate as often I found it’s really hard to think clear with having a newborn and not sleeping much. She was such great support with establishing breastfeeding, experimenting with different techniques with feeding or trying bottles, helping to look after my baby and myself and not lastly with many practical things which I wasn’t able to comfortably do in the early days/weeks after post section. I also really appreciated her emotional support, listening and words of reassurance when there were tougher days due to hormones, lack of sleep and adjustments. She was amazing with my eldest daughter (4) too and helped us to juggle nursery pick up times when I couldn’t drive yet and my husband needed to go back to work. We feel so lucky and very very grateful having found her and continuing working together when help is needed. I can wholeheartedly recommend her to every new mum!
I’m so grateful for Lisa and the incredible support she gave me postnatally. Her calm presence, kindness, and practical guidance made such a difference in my recovery and confidence as a new parent. Lisa made sure we felt supported and confident in those early, overwhelming weeks.
I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for postnatal support.
