Hi, my name is Mishel and I currently live in Chesterfield, which I absolutely love for its peacefulness and friendly people. I’m a mother of 4 (the eldest is 37 and the youngest is 10) and a grandmother too 6, soon to be 7, grandchildren! I’m a hands-on grandmother and have supported my daughters through their mothering journeys.

Reflecting on my life, I realised I’ve always been a doula at heart, helping and supporting women and birthing people. Being a doula is my true calling, and I’m incredibly passionate about guiding families through their fourth trimester. People often say I have a calm and relaxing demeanour, a non-judgemental approach to life, and I always greet with a smile and a caring touch.

My goal is to support you in becoming the parent you envision. I believe in providing a safe space for you to explore your options and make the best choices for your family. I understand how overwhelming and confusing those first few days, weeks, or months can be, and my purpose is to offer you and your growing family transitional support.

Listed below are some of the support/tasks that can be utilised to meet the needs of your family:

• Birth & Postnatal Planning,
• Supporting you to protect your space for you and your family to bond with the baby
• Infant feeding support and encouragement
• Light housework and upkeep
• Accompanying you to appointments
• Practical newborn baby care
• Being a listening ear, providing emotional and informational support
• Prepare snacks, light lunches, etc
• Cuddle/Watch over the baby whilst you take a nap, a shower or bath
• Entertaining other children/siblings
• Signposting to other services if and when you feel it is necessary

My bespoke packages are designed to help you confidently navigate your postnatal period, nurturing and encouraging your abilities as a new parent. These services can be provided in your home or through various remote platforms such as Zoom, Teams, and WhatsApp, ensuring you receive the exact support you need. Having someone to hold space for you, allowing you to rest, breathe, or share your thoughts with, is invaluable.
