Hello and huge congratulations!❤️ I’m Natalie, a birth and postnatal doula - and mum of 3 - living in Chiswick, West London.
This new chapter into parenthood can feel daunting and I'd be so happy to be by your side, supporting you every step of the way. I can unravel all the complicated information surrounding pregnancy and childbirth so that you can make confident decisions about your own uniquely special birth. It's so important you have a positive, joyful experience and the best start to being a parent.
With my children now older and more independent (the eldest two are at university), I have the time to be even more flexible and accessible in my work as a doula. For any new parents without close family and friends nearby, I know how isolating that can feel at times. I’ve spent several years living abroad, including Australia and the US when my children were young and I did miss those people closest to me. I hope I can help fill that gap for you.
I’m a former copywriter where I had to be practical, highly organised, a good listener and communicator - skills that have been just as useful in my home life as a busy mum and now as a doula are invaluable. Also through my work as a volunteer stylist for the charity Smart Works, I love helping women from all walks of life feel empowered for their job interview, seeing their confidence grow, that anything is possible.
Retraining to become a doula has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. I was lucky enough to do my doula training with the inspiring Kicki Hansard, award-winning author and the founder of Birthbliss Academy and The Doula Directory. I learnt so much from Kicki, but learning never stops and I continue to stay on top of the latest information and research from the magical birth world.
When looking for a doula, it's important that person becomes someone you can trust and rely on, someone who is non- judgmental and understands you as an individual, recognising your emotions and concerns. Natalie came to help us when my twins were a few weeks old and was just brilliant. We also have a 3 year old, and a dog, and not much family nearby! She was so hands on, incredible with my older daughter who adored her, and quickly got on with doing anything and everything we just didn’t have capacity to do. She was super with the babies, and it felt like no job was too big or too small for her. On top of this, she is just the most lovely person. I can’t recommend her highly enough!
