I believe you are unique, and your birth will be just as unique.  I aim to put you at the heart of the service I offer.  I provide information, support, compassion and care for you, during pregnancy, the birth, and postnatally when you have brought baby home.

I can attend Antenatal appointments with you, and help you navigate the Health Care system.  Advocating for you, if you want me to.  I can help you prepare for a positive birth, preparing both mind and body for the birth.  I can also provide support in the early days after you and baby go home.

I have a heart for helping people, and am passionate about helping, support pregnant women prepare for birth, and life afterwards, during the transition to becoming mums, in those early sleep deprived months when you have brought baby home, as your postnatal doula.

Having experienced three different births, and then the postnatal periods after each one, I learnt so much from each one.

Planning, preparation and support are key,  during this life changing, and at times challenging phase in life.

Our stressed, traumatised, overworked Midwives, and Health Care Professional simply don’t have the time, despite their best intentions to look after the emotional and wellbeing side of things.   In a broken NHS system – this is the GAP, a doula fills – with loving, compassionate care.

As a Birth, and Postnatal Doula, I am uniquely placed to be there 100% for YOU,  providing ‘Continuity of Care’.  Why not arrange a no-cost initial chat to discuss what you may need.

As your doula, I strive to provide personalised care and attention.

I am here to support you in navigating the overwhelming amount of information available, offering evidence-based knowledge and a listening ear when you need it most.

My antenatal preparation sessions during run up to your due date  focus on preparing you practically, physically and emotionally for the birth.

Topics include : -

- Exploring the role of a birth partner (both your partner & Doula)  during pregnancy, labour and at the birth - making a plan of support.

-Creating a birth plan and discussing birth preferences –

- Comfort measures and management techniques during labour

- Positioning and movement during labour and birth

- Creating a calming and supportive birth environment

- Assisting with relaxation techniques and breathing exercises

- Massage and Reflexology techniques for pain relief

- Advocating for you during pregnancy at Antenatal Appointment's, or  during the birth, if you need me to.

- Support during the postpartum period

- Breastfeeding support and guidance to ensure feeding gets off to a good start.

- Postnatally, providing support and guidance on new-born care and soothing techniques once you bring baby home

- Emotional and physical recovery after birth

- Bonding and attachment between parents and baby

- Preparing a plan for and navigating the early weeks, months of parenthood.

Thank you so much for such a calming experience. I felt informed, supported and prepared. Rehana displayed compassion, empathy, and understanding throughout. She is incredibly knowledgeable and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking to get a doula. Beyond grateful for all your help ❤️

Rehana helped me tremendously with the birth of my daughter, my husband and I had a really positive experience with her.

The meetings we had with her were really helpful and informative, and my husband and I felt far better prepared for the birth than we were before. This was the first time I had a doula and I felt I was more prepared and informed than my last pregnancy, which was a while ago. I felt happy and confidant to have her help and advice throughout the birth to talk through things and support us. She’s kept in regular contact with us to see if we’re all ok and seeing if we have any questions. Overall, we’d highly recommend Rehana as a doula and are really grateful for all her support.
