I am Trusha, a mentored doula covering London, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Middlesex and Buckinghamshire and based in Pinner. I am here to support and empower you through pregnancy, birth and postpartum support. I want you to feel relaxed knowing that you will be supported throughout your journey.

Antenatal support ♡

My aim is to provide you with the information you need through pregnancy, allowing you to make informed decisions.

Preparing you for birth through empowerment, knowledge, and encouragement.

Having a doula also provides that continuity of care, at times you may see a different midwife at every visit and your doula will always be the same.

I think it is important to know the science behind the human body, how it prepares your body for birth and how to nurture your baby after birth. The hormones, the biomechanics and the physical changes the human body goes through is amazing and once you know it all, it makes it so much easier to understand what is happening and why but also for you to make informed decisions about what you want.

I will support you in creating your dream birth plan and communicating your preferences to healthcare providers.

Birth support ♡

I will be there for you as an advocate during birth, holding your hand so you and your partner feel safe, assured, and cared for.

Whether you’re at home or in hospital you will have in-person support during labour and birth.

I will support in creating a relaxing and comfortable environment for your birth.

Postpartum support ♡

My postpartum approach is to really about 'mothering the mother'

Continuing the support, information and encouragement whilst ensuring you are resting, recovering and taken care of.

I am able to support with infant feeding and to help you feel confident taking care of a newborn baby.

About me...

I am a Mother to a teenager, with a background in fashion buying and beauty marketing (for 25 years!). I have always been the go-to amongst friends and family to support people through pregnancy and the newborn stage, I have loved it ever since I can remember. In my mid 30s, I worked in marketing for Mothercare for a long time, this is where I was the person who build the advice hub on how to conceive, the week by week pregnancy guide, what to pack in your birth bag, how to burp a baby and the guidelines around infant sleeping and feeding. This advice hub was built up with videos, images and many charts so I find it quite easy to break down this information for you. I loved supporting people online and at parent to be events in store and this is when a few people told me I should really think about becoming a doula. It took me a few years to get around to it (not until my 40s!) and realising that YES this is my calling and I should have trained much sooner.

I offer breastfeeding support at Hillingdon Hospital and have completed the peer support training. I am also enhanced DBS checked.
