Hi, I'm Vicky. I live in the North East of England with my beautiful daughter and our Cockerpoo, and I’m here to support you and your family in this next chapter of your life. It's an absolute honour to be a part of this beautiful journey with the lovely families I've supported being a doula.

From your first contact with me I will want to gather as much information as possible. Not only to assist you in the birth you want but to get to know you and your family and build a trusting relationship. We'll arrange an initial chat, then I'd like to meet you and your family (partners, children, dogs, cats, the whole shebang) in person to see if we're the right fit for each other.

I'll leave you with all the information you need to decide if I'm the right doula and what packages I offer.

As your doula, I'd want to hear about appointments, progress, I'll be available to answer any questions, do research...pretty much anything you need.

We will do antenatal sessions around physiology and biomechanics of your body in pregnancy and labour, and a birth preferences sessions so we're all crystal clear on the birthing experience you (and your partner) want.

At the birth, I don't just support the people giving birth, I help partners with practical and emotional support, I'm a spare pair of hands for midwives, I advocate for you and your plan (strongly if needed). Not to mention liaising with organisations for placenta encapsulation, stem cell harvesting etc. I also take pictures of the first moments of baby's life. All of my clients have said how precious these are, and it's an honour to capture the moments.

I will be there as often as you need me postnatally with breastfeeding support, emotion support as well as practical things like light cleaning, preparing food, looking after baby whilst you shower, sleep or just have some you time...anything you need.

This is why I love being a Doula, no one day the same. My pictures are with some of the babies I've helped bring in to this world...my happy place. ❤️

I'm quite a spiritual person, I practice mindfulness and meditation daily and participate in breathwork ceremonies as often as I can. I hold women’s circles and look forward to holding pregnancy circles soon. All of this feeds in to me being calm, focused and energised to help you bring life in to this world.

If you like the sound of my profile and feel my passion and experience would be something you and your family would benefit from, please get in touch.

A fantastic experience for me and my partner as first time parents

13/11/2024

Vickys support throughout has been exceptional and i am so pleased i was recommended her by another doula. I should have written down everything she did for us as i know I’ll likely miss some things! She was there during my pregnancy to give massages which allowed me time to fully switch off and listen to my hypnobirthing tracks in preparation for labour, she answered questions i had racing through my mind and if she didn’t know the answer there and then, came back to me once she did know and put my mind at ease. She listened to my rants and concerns and shared excitement with me too. She always made me and my partner feel calm and we never felt judged with all the questions we had, even though we were becoming first time parents. After a quick change to my birth plan, Vicky was with me at the crack of dawn the day i had my c section, she went to the shops to get last minute bits and pieces for me, took beautiful photos of us as a family once I’d given birth, dealt with the companies we used to bank the cord and placenta, and gave us space when we needed it too. She was the perfect addition to a magical day. She was there at the drop of a hat when i needed some support thereafter at the hospital when my partner needed to leave early. She gave me and the baby a lift home and stopped the car several times when the baby wouldn’t settle. She came round to our home and did dishes, put clothes away, hoovered, encouraged me to rest (even though I wouldn’t!) chatted like a friend and gave me a beautiful closing the bones ceremony to round everything up. This isn’t the end of our relationship however as I will be having massages or Reiki at some point again soon! Thank you Vicky for being a part of such a special time in our lives. We really appreciate everything you e done for us
